I made my first video at 10. As a kid obsessed with video my primary concerns were (in chronological order): trying to animate in Flash, make/star in funny comedy skits, direct serious art-house short films, and get into film school. I really only succeeded at the last one. I attended NYU Tischโ€™s undergrad Film & TV Production program and in 2015 left with a collage stop motion music video, an experimental comedy short, and a documentary web series about what it means to be a โ€œhumanโ€ in the face of new technologies (like smart phones and social media).

I started my career at social media marketing agency Likeable Media where I produced, shot, and edited organic video content for large brands. Some of my favorite projects in my 3 years at Likeable were directing a documentary profile series for Seamless, producing branded content for Stop & Shop, and leading the production team behind a stylized how-to series for Century 21 that won a Digiday award for best Social Video Campaign.

After taking a year-long break from NYC to live in a closet-sized apartment in Paris to practice French and freelance as a shooter/editor, I moved back to Brooklyn and joined marketing firm Power Digital as a Content Creator. Executing both creative production and strategy for clients, I shot, edited, and designed ads for Meta / TikTok, as well as optimized those ads to drive engagement, clicks, and sales. I also helped scale the creative department by opening a new video/photo studio in Soho and creating new project management systems to oversee over 20 productions monthly. After helping establish the department I began producing larger branded videos and social accounts. My most successful project at Power was a strategy-backed OTT commercial for Mattel which I wrote, directed, and produced that generated an 11x return on its ad spend.

Outside of my branded work, I also produce creative-first video projects. In 2021 I wrote and directed a low budget dark comedy short film about how millennials react to tragedy called Perfect Party and in 2024 I directed and animated a stop motion music video for nyc based band BAILEN. The latter is my 8th paper cut-out music video Iโ€™ve animated, and my others for bands like A Place to Bury Strangers and altopalo have been covered by publications like Interview Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and COMPLEX.

Say hi!
